Our Fleet
Tiger Moth
The group operates two de Havilland DH82a Tiger Moth aircraft.

G-AOEI is the oldest. Built by de Havilland at their Hatfield factory in1939 this aircraft served with RAF No 81 Squadron in France during 1940 as returning to England just before the Dunkirk evacuation.

G-AHIZ is newer, built by Morris Motors at their Cowley factory in 1944. While built to a military contract it has always operated as a civilian aircraft.

Both are painted in the attractive yellow and silver livery of the former London Aero Club. From a distance the only distinguishing feature is the fuel tank - yellow on EI and silver on IZ.

Both aircraft are powered by Gipsy Major 1C engines.
Both aircraft have modern radios and Mode S transponders with ADS-B Out.
The aircraft cruises at 80mph and has an endurance of about 2.5 hours.
Fuji FA-200
A Fuji FA-200 owned by several group members is available to all members for instrument training and gaining familiarity with modern aircraft, subject to being added to the aircraft insurance policy. The Fuji has full instrumentation and a constant speed propeller. It is also aerobatic. When the group takes the Tiger Moths away from Cambridge the Fuji often accompanies them as a support aircraft.
